Your Beach Cruiser Experience

Your beach cruiser experience begins promptly at your scheduled departure time.

  • Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your scheduled departure time to sign your waiver & provide your driver’s license.

  • The Beach Cruiser Experience is roughly 2 hours long with early check-in, bike overview and stops - actual riding time is approximately 90 minutes.

  • Your cruise director will introduce you to your cruiser(s) and provide instruction once you’ve checked in.

  • Failure to check-in within 5 minutes of your scheduled departure may result in cancellation - allowing a standby rider(s) to purchase your spot. :-( We’ll do what we can to reschedule your experience.

Mechanical Issue

My Fat Woody cruisers are incredibly reliable and well maintained. As an engineer, I understand that any piece of equipment is prone to momentary and unforeseen failure. It’s never ‘if’ there is a failure, but rather ‘when’ there is a failure. It could be as simple as a flat tire, or the failure may also represent a safety concern (ie. brakes).

  • Fat Woody reserves the right to cancel an experience due to mechanical issue.

  • Riders will receive a 100% refund, or if preferred, ‘priority rescheduling’ of your cruise party.

  • I promise to do my best to reschedule your experience - even if it is a private experience later that day.

Inclement Weather Cancellation

  • Inclement Weather Cancellations made by BCE are 100% refundable back to your credit card.

  • Inclement Weather Cancellations are judgement calls made by Fat Woody and are typically made the morning of your scheduled departure.

  • Riders will be notified via text message/email of Inclement Weather Cancellations.

San Diego weather during the winter months can be wonderfully pleasant. But it can also can get downright chilly and rainy some days. Rainy days are no fun for anyone. If the weather stinks, we’ll notify you via text message of any changes to your scheduled reservation.

San Diego is also known for its morning marine layer (low fog/clouds) on some days. An afternoon cruise is less prone to marine layer weather patterns and is also warmer. But I’ll also say those crystal clear morning cruises are peaceful and relaxing. Wear layers!
